The Gauntlet takes top honors at the 2007 New York Television Festival
Winner: $10,000 Overall Artistic Achievement Award (Presented by MSN)
Winner: Best Non-Scripted Pilot
Hollywood Reporter describes the Festival results here.
"The Gauntlet" is
a 22-minute pilot, independently produced, directed, edited,
written, and co-shot by Scott Patterson (owner, Point
b Productions). The Gauntlet features home video
from people who'd like to settle a score by challenging one
of their co-workers to a workplace competition. Then, we ambush
the co-worker with the video challenge from his buddy. Once
the challenge is accepted, we learn about our competitors, their
interesting jobs, and then set up a contest to see who'll win
the $500 prize and bragging rights. In this episode, two ice
sculptors go head to head in an ice carving contest... and
then we fire up the Zamboni to see which driver is master of
the mesmerizing beast.
